Crossbeam Continues Strong Growth in Latin America with New Partners and Sales Executive

BOXBOROUGH, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Crossbeam Systems, Inc., the leading provider of next-generation security platforms for high-performance networks, announced today the continued expansion of its business in Latin America with the addition of BlackBull Network, Contacta and CLM as authorized channel partners in Brazil and the appointment of Efrain Mata as regional sales manager for Northern Latin America. Mata will focus on Central America, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Venezuela.

Contacta is a systems integrator providing tools and services for the information security market. This partnership will provide greater support for customers looking to deploy Check Point’s security solutions on the X-Series chassis.
CLM is a Value Added Distributor specializing in information security. CLM will extend Crossbeam’s reach to leading resellers throughout the country and offer closer collaboration with Sourcefire, one of Crossbeam’s best-of-breed ISV partners.

In his new role, Mata will focus on expanding Crossbeam’s market share in Latin America and driving growth to meet the security needs of large enterprise and service provider customers. Mata will also further develop the company’s partner ecosystem with select resellers, distribution partners and certified, best-of-breed security partners whose software runs on the X-Series. Mata brings more than 15 years of networking and telecommunications industry expertise, having most recently overseen the sales operations in Mexico for TANDBERG (now part of Cisco Systems), a leading provider of telepresence and videoconferencing solutions. Before that, Mata worked at Alcatel-Lucent, specializing in enterprise solutions within the financial industry. He also held sales positions at GS Comunicaciones and AT&T BCS.
