Y.1564’s newly enhanced test methodology is specifically written for service activation and is closely tailored to the Bandwidth Profile parameters being sold. Sunrise Telecom’s IntelliSAM enables service providers to verify and guarantee the exact service configuration and performance delivered to their customers. IntelliSAM represents the most complete set of tests for Carrier Ethernet services in the industry.
As Carrier Ethernet increases in popularity, service providers are under pressure to meet more stringent service level agreements (SLAs) for their customers. In order to truly guarantee these SLAs, service providers must be able to verify the bursty nature of Ethernet services. IntelliSAM’s committed burst size (CBS) and excess burst size (EBS) tests are the first in the industry to be able to generate bursty traffic in a Carrier Ethernet test suite.
