“Music is the cornerstone program among Dickies’ sponsorship platforms because it allows us to bring together two things consumers are truly passionate about – the durability and authenticity of the Dickies brand coupled with equally authentic new music,” said Michael Polydoroff, senior director of brand marketing for Dickies. “SxSW offers unparalleled access to both a quality and quantity of musicians and also lets us communicate with core consumers and younger workers.”

Together with FILTER, Dickies focuses its music efforts on supporting up-and-coming musicians in order to remain true to the brand’s authentic, no-nonsense work wear heritage. Emerging artists are hosted throughout the year at FILTER’s L.A. offices, where they’re seeded with Dickies gear, hold impromptu music performances and collect content for DickiesSounds.com (the central hub for music program information) and social media channels. Music festival activations – led by the brand’s SxSW participation play another critical role in Dickies’ music efforts, allowing the brand to augment artist outreach with interactive Dickies brand experiences for consumers.

"Dickies raised the bar for SxSW showcases at last year’s festival, and I’m thrilled that this year will be no different,” said Alan Miller, Co-Founder and Co-Owner of FILTER Magazine and FILTER Creative Group. “Festival goers are guaranteed to leave happy after visiting Lustre Pearl during SxSW.”

Lustre Pearl is located at 97 Rainey Street in Austin, just south of 1st Street and the convention center. Festival badges are required for access to nighttime performances, and limited RSVPs for daytime performances are available at www.filtermagazine.com/dickies.
