OBERURSEL, Germany--()--The Taunus International Montessori School (TIMS) was founded in 1973. Since that time TIMS has been a leader in English-language international and Montessori education for young children. We specialize in the education for children from the ages of 18 months to 6 years.
TIMS offers a well-rounded and balanced Montessori education combined with many special activities. In addition to the use of the Montessori materials, reading, writing, mathematics, science and practical life exercises, TIMS offers German language lessons, music, yoga, gym, art, cooking lessons as well as assemblies, international celebrations and family gatherings. Our children learn and grow in a safe, nurturing yet culturally diverse environment.
On Saturday, February 12, 2011 TIMS opens the house for parents, children and everyone who is interested in information about the Taunus International Montessori School and –teaching method. Parents will have the chance to tour through the facilities, classrooms and surroundings, experience the learning materials as well as meet parents and teachers. The Children can play, have their face painted and enjoy snacks and drinks.

The Taunus International Montessori School is an international English-speaking school with three mixed-age children’s groups, ages 3 to 6 years, and a toddler group that includes children ages 18 months to 3 years. The TIMS is located in Oberursel, north of Frankfurt in the foothills of the Taunus Mountains, 15 minutes away from downtown Frankfurt.
TIMS – organized as a non-profit association – instructs children of the most diverse cultures, countries and religions according to the Montessori philosophy and prepares them for further progress in life in other schools. The TIMS objective is to promote independence and knowledge in a safe, pedagogical and culturally diverse environment. So all children can freely display their potential, a wide range of learning materials and activities are available. One of the most important tasks of TIMS teachers is to motivate and encourage children to discover the world that surrounds them on their own.
