TVG’s BioPartnering North America™ Conference Supports Future Industry Leaders Through a Unique Mentoring Program, Participation of Students in Partnering and Networking Sessions, and the Award of Life Science Student Bursaries

BioPartnering North America 2011

SANTA CRUZ, Calif.--()--Technology Vision Group (TVG) is pleased to announce that the upcoming BioPartnering North America (BPN) conference, being held on 27 February – 1 March 2011 at the Vancouver Convention Centre in Canada, will include three unique programs that help build the future of the industry through business development leadership, mentoring and life science student bursaries.

Industry professionals attending BPN will have the opportunity to participate in the BioMentorz™ course — a unique and intensive training session designed to mentor business development professionals as they move up the career ladder. BioMentorz is led by a faculty of accomplished and deeply skilled business development dealmakers who collectively have close to one hundred years in business development experience. Jack Anthony, Gayle Mills and Dick Haiduck of BioMentorz are recognized in the business development field as having an incredible breadth and depth of experience and insight. The BioMentorz team is dedicated to helping the next generation of industry leaders hone their skills and advance in their business development roles.

“Jack is an accomplished deal guy and really understands ‘the secret sauce.’ Dick is a strategist — having been a CEO or Managing Director of six different organizations in the USA and abroad. Gayle is a well-known business development executive with deep roots in sales and marketing and she uses those strengths to create appropriate commercialization strategies. TVG is delighted to bring this opportunity to learn from such experienced industry leaders to our clients at BioPartnering North America.” Dr. Robert Lee Kilpatrick, Partner, TVG

BioPartnering North America also provides a unique opportunity for members of the Student Biotechnology Network (SBN) who attend SBN’s Biotech Expo & Conference to participate in BioPartnering North America from 14:00 – 18:00 on Tuesday, 1 March. Students will learn firsthand about the industry from local and global industry leaders, see how partnering deals are made in face-to-face partnering meetings and participate in one of the largest global life science partnering conferences. Students are also invited to connect with industry leaders at a special networking reception.

Finally, the TVG / BIOTECanada Student Bursary program, now in its ninth year, is designed to support graduate and post-graduate students in a biotechnology-related program in Canada to attend the BioPartnering North America (BPN) conference. This bursary provides a great opportunity for students to learn about the global biotech industry by attending information sessions and participating in networking events with peers and potential employers.

"BioPartnering North America was a wonderful experience. I was exposed to the global biotechnology and pharmaceutical community, and had a chance to learn about leading edge technologies. In addition to enhancing my educational experience, this opportunity was an invaluable networking event that enabled me to strengthen my professional skills." Gigi Ho, TVG / BIOTECanada Student Bursary recipient.

The bursary provides full registration to the conference, travel costs (for students residing outside the Greater Vancouver Area), and accommodation for 2 nights close to the conference venue.
