Vision IPTV Eyes Middle East and North Africa as the New Television Frontier

LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--At CABSAT MENA 2011, leading internet TV company, Vision IPTV will launch a commercial and technical hub in Dubai, UAE, to support customer expansion throughout the Middle East, West Asia and Africa regions.

Vision IPTV’s regional expansion in the MENA region follows the recent £10m Chinese investment deal with Vision IPTV’s London-based sister company, Soho Data Holdings.

The UAE has been chosen as it represents a geographically strategic location for IPTV broadcast and data distribution, with extensive broadband offering a highly competitive route to market for broadcasters. The MENA (Middle East & North Africa) region, which has traditionally been a strong international market for US media, represents a major commercial opportunity for Russian and Chinese business organisations seeking to expand influence and invest in the region.
