DALLAS--()--One World Sports presents the Championship Match of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2011 between Australia and Japan on Pay-Per-View.
“This is destined to be a classic match-up.”
The Championship Match will be available to more than 65 million U.S. TV households as a result of distribution agreements executed by One World Sports with leading cable and satellite groups in the U.S. The Championship Match will be distributed live exclusively in High Definition in English and Arabic on Saturday, January 29 at 10 a.m. EST.
This is the first time Australia has advanced to the Championship Match of Asia’s premier soccer tournament. Japan has won the Asian Cup in three of the last five tournaments since 1992. To reach the Championship Match, Australia beat both defending champion Iraq and Uzbekistan, and Japan defeated both host Qatar and South Korea.
“Australia and Japan are FIFA’s top two teams in Asia, and both teams have players in the top European leagues, including the English Premier League and Germany’s Bundesliga,” said Preston Bornman, Chief Operating Officer of One Media Corp. “This is destined to be a classic match-up.”
One World Sports has licensed the Championship Match to iN DEMAND which will distribute the game to Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications, Bright House Networks, Cablevision, Charter, Mediacom and many other U.S. affiliates. The game will also be distributed to DISH Network and Avail/TVN, which includes AT&T and Verizon FiOS among its affiliates.
Broadband coverage will be available live via One World Sports Broadband, which can be found at www.OneWorldSports.tv. Mobile video coverage will be available on Verizon Wireless V CAST Video at www.VerizonWireless.com.
