(NASDAQ: HSTM), a leading provider of learning and research solutions for the healthcare industry, and Laerdal Medical (“Laerdal”), a global leader in the provision of educational solutions for healthcare providers and educators, today announced that they are collaborating with leading medical simulation centers and key opinion leaders to provide a wide variety of simulation content. Each of these leading developers have been given access to SimDeveloper™, a newly launched software developer’s toolkit, to prepare and upload simulation scenarios that will be available through SimStore™, a newly launched application. SimDeveloper and SimStore are both components of SimCenter™, our simulation management platform for healthcare training offered though the Internet via software-as-a-service (SaaS).

With scenarios and other content already created by leading educators from around the world, SimStore will serve as a hub of quality educational content for multiple healthcare disciplines. SimStore will offer for purchase over 1,000 scenarios—with thousands more to follow—from some of the world’s leading healthcare organizations and associations that together form a leading developer network. The initial network of developers, which will expand over time, includes organizations and centers such as the National League for Nursing, American Academy of Pediatrics, Belmont University and Health Care Simulation South Carolina (USA); Oxford Brookes University and SAFER Simulation Center (Europe); and Edith Cowan University (Australia); and many more.
