Seniors Surveyed On Health Care Reform Repeal:
42% Favor Repeal of Entire Health Care Bill; 17% Against It

SAN MATEO, Calif.--()--As the U.S. House of Representatives prepares to vote on repealing the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act signed into law by President Obama on March 23, 2010, a survey of 386 seniors 65 years and older revealed that 42% support repealing the bill in its entirety. Another 17% of respondents say they are against repeal while 30% favor repealing parts, but not all, of the bill.

The survey was fielded January 7-16, 2011 by Extend Health, Inc., which operates the nation’s largest private Medicare exchange. Results of the survey differ sharply from an Associated Press-GfK Poll conducted January 5-10 that showed just 1 in 4 adult Americans across all age groups favor repealing the bill in its entirety.
