Have a Heart Charities, Inc. Second Annual Golf Tournament is a Smashing Success

SUNRISE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Have a Heart Charities, Inc. (www.haveaheartcharities.com), is a South Florida 501 (c)(3) organization formed to raise money for South Florida charities supporting health and education causes. Have a Heart Charities announced today that the Have a Heart Golf Tournament for the benefit of the Lisa Boccard Breast Cancer Fund, a Coral Springs based organization, was held on Friday, October 29, 2010 at Colony West Country Club in Tamarac, Florida, and raised over $ 8,000. The Golf tournament and fundraiser was organized and hosted by the Have a Heart Charities executive committee and attracted 85 golfers and more than 50 sponsors, including Energy Sheriffs (Title Sponsor), Buffalo Wings and Rings of Coconut Creek (Beer Sponsor), Bernie’s Bagels of Coral Springs (Breakfast Sponsor), and Broward Health Corporation. WINZ-940 radio personality Dave Gergely was on hand for a golf contest and test golfer’s sports trivia knowledge. Prizes were donated by The University of Miami, Florida Panthers, Yves Saint Laurent, Saks Fifth Avenue, Big Bear Brewing Company (Coral Springs), Blue Moon Fish Company (Coral Springs, QuarterDeck (Sunrise Blvd), and many other local businesses. Over thirty local volunteers helped support the event, which was coordinated by Golf Chairperson Jay Siegel.
