Taylor Morrison’s Dream Home Giveaway Returns for Fourth Year

Homebuilder to give away $200,000 home, technology prizes

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--()--Taylor Morrison’s Dream Home Giveaway – and the $200,000 grand prize home – is back for 2011 with a new twist – a home for one lucky winner and the chance to win prizes from Microsoft and HP each week for those people who refer their friends.

The new Taylor Morrison dream home awaits the grand prize winner wherever Taylor Morrison currently builds – the company has more than 150 communities in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida and Texas. As with previous years, the winner will have the opportunity to design the home they win, selecting the floor plan and home options that best suit their lifestyle and making the grand prize a home they can truly call their own.

In addition to the brand new Taylor Morrison dream home, each week a registrant will walk away with an instant prize, such as a Microsoft Xbox 360 with Kinect, Microsoft Zune HD player or HP Pavilion dm1z notebook. A total of 24 such prizes (one for each week of the contest) will be awarded.

The contest runs from January 17, 2011 to June 30, 2011 and participants can register each day of the contest period at dreamhome.taylormorrison.com. The promotion is only open to legal residents of the United States and Puerto Rico who are 21 years old or over.

“A home is something every family deserves and we’re proud to help families across the country realize that dream every year,” said Taylor Morrison President and CEO Sheryl Palmer. “With the Dream Home Giveaway, we get to grant that dream to one lucky person.”

Since it first started in 2008, the contest has been a runaway success, with more than $700,000 worth of homes given away in the process. Sacramento single mother Jennifer Draa won in 2008. Draa was followed by Arizona wife and mother Kristin Pierce in 2009 and an Arizona father, Michael Bernardo, in 2010.

The Dream Home Giveaway is inspired by the Innoventions Dream Home located at the Disneyland® Resort in Anaheim, Calif., which Taylor Morrison built in a partnership with Disneyland, Microsoft and HP.
