BOSTON & NEW YORK--()--Pulse Trading, a national independent brokerage firm headquartered in Boston, today announced that it has successfully defended its BlockCross technology against Liquidnet’s accusation of patent infringement. The U.S. District Court of Southern New York has issued a ruling finding that Pulse’s BlockCross system does not infringe on a patent held by Liquidnet Holdings, Inc.
“We have always believed that BlockCross uses new and very different technology”
“We have always believed that BlockCross uses new and very different technology,” said Mark Enriquez, Founding Managing Partner of Pulse Trading. “We are delighted to have that belief affirmed by the Judge’s decision. BlockCross uses innovative OMS/EMS integration techniques to bring together both buy and sellside participants in a continuous, midpoint equity cross. Winning this case ensures the institutional investment community will have a choice. We will continue to focus on delivering the best product we can to our growing base of customers.”
