The Boston Globe and Worcester Telegram & Gazette Adopt “Méthode” Multiple-Media Content Management System

EidosMedia’s Editorial Platform Will Be Used for Print, Online, and Other Digital Platforms

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The New England Media Group announced today that The Boston Globe and the Worcester Telegram & Gazette will adopt EidosMedia’s new-generation editorial platform Méthode to produce their print and online products, including Boston.com and the new site BostonGlobe.com which will be launched in the second half of 2011.

The project agreement represents a significant milestone for The Boston Globe’s strategy of creating two digital brands starting in the second half of 2011. Under that strategy, Boston.com will remain free to users and remain the one-stop source for all things Boston, offering daily local news reports, sports, and weather, as well as comprehensive guides to local entertainment, travel and restaurants. BostonGlobe.com will be introduced as a new subscription site that contains all news and feature stories, commentary, analysis, photographs and graphics published in the daily and Sunday newspaper.

As part of its digital strategy, The Boston Globe will also develop a full range of Globe-branded digital products that will allow access to Globe content wherever, whenever and however readers wish. Complete integration of the content creation for print, online and other digital platforms will streamline workflows and reduce time-to-market for breaking news.
