Fitch Upgrades DaimlerChrysler Auto Trust 2006-D

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fitch Ratings has upgraded one class of DaimlerChrysler Auto Trust (DCAT) series 2006-D, and affirmed one class as part of its ongoing surveillance process, as listed below.

Although the collateral continues to perform outside of Fitch's expectations, current credit enhancement continues to increase. The securities can withstand stress scenarios consistent with the recommended rating categories and still make full payments of interest and principal in accordance with the terms of the documents.

The ratings reflect the quality of Chrysler Financial Services America LLC's (CF) retail auto loan originations, the sound financial and legal structure of the transaction, and the strength of the servicing provided by CF.

The securities are backed by a pool of new and used automobile and light-duty truck installment loans originated by CF.

Fitch has taken the following rating actions:

DaimlerChrysler Auto Trust 2006-D

--Class A-4 affirmed at 'AAAsf'; Outlook Stable;

--Class B upgraded to 'AAAsf' from 'A+sf'; Outlook Stable.
