HERNDON, Va.--()--AMCAD announced the acquisition of Vista Solutions Group's eFiling solution product, eUniversa. AMCAD's eUniversa product is built in compliance with Oasis LegalXML Electronic Court Filing Specification Version 4.0. (ECF 4.0 Specification). Compliance with the standards allows for uniform standards based integration choices and flexibility.
“AMCAD is very excited to acquire the eUniversa electronic filing solution to continue to expand the services we can provide to the court and justice industry and we are pleased to welcome the eUniversa customers and employees to the AMCAD family”
The solution can act as an electronic filing service provider (EFSP) which leads individuals through the filing process, or accept other provider’s packaged filings that are complaint with ECF 4.0 specification. The eUniversa solution has expanded the capability of the court community by providing a robust e-filing solution that streamlines the ability of attorneys to file case and document but also simplifies the filing of document for the pro se filers by embedding Access to Justice (A2J) processing.
The eUniversa solution which is already integrated with AMCAD’s integrated Case Management Systems (AiCMS) simplifies the filing and management of court case related documents, enabling attorneys to submit case filings electronically, instantly notifying all case parties, and allowing court fees and costs to be paid online. This integrated solution eliminates redundant data entry by the court and justice community and enables courts to collect the funds without any delay.
The solution will continue to be offered as a standalone solution that can be integrated with any Court Case Management system as well as integrated with the AiCMS suite of products. AMCAD also plans on expanding the solutions offering by providing the option of a hosted solution allowing courts to reduce the ongoing maintenance and infrastructure cost of the solution.
AMCAD’s AiCMS solution automates the entire court operation, including case management, financial processing, scheduling, role-defined dashboard, workflow queue management, decision-based support systems and content management. AiCMS also improves staff productivity and accountability, and further streamlines office workflow by sharing information throughout the Clerk’s operation. The AiCMS system utilizes the latest Microsoft .NET technology, providing the court the ability to protect its investment in technology.
“AMCAD is very excited to acquire the eUniversa electronic filing solution to continue to expand the services we can provide to the court and justice industry and we are pleased to welcome the eUniversa customers and employees to the AMCAD family,” said Visagar Shyamsundar, AMCAD's Chief Operations Officer. “This acquisition shows the continued commitment of AMCAD to providing state of the art solution that will improve the court and justice operations.”
