SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Coinciding with the launch of Google Chrome OS, LucidChart™ today announced that Google has chosen its diagramming application as one of the featured applications in the new Google Chrome Web Store. The Web Store is an online marketplace that makes it easy for users to quickly discover and access the best web applications available.
Google selected LucidChart because it showcases the ease of use and rich functionality available in web applications. “We are excited to be one of the first web apps included in the Chrome Web Store. Using HTML5, we can now build web apps that are better than desktop applications, in terms of both usability and functionality,” said Karl Sun, CEO of LucidChart. “LucidChart empowers users to create, edit and collaborate in real time on diagrams and flowcharts from any device with a browser, whether it be a desktop computer, netbook, or mobile device.”
When a Google Chrome user installs an application, a shortcut to the application will appear when a new tab is opened. This mechanism allows users to easily organize and access the web applications they use most frequently. While nearly one-third of its customers are currently using the Chrome browser, LucidChart executives expect that number to grow as the Chrome Web Store introduces thousands of new users to its diagramming application.
“At LucidChart, our goal is to make diagramming as easy as possible. By integrating with the Chrome Web Store, we believe we’re taking this one step further,” says Ben Dilts, LucidChart’s founder and CTO.
LucidChart is a web-based diagramming and flowchart software that can be used to create flowcharts, network diagrams, process models, UML diagrams, org charts, mind maps and more right from the browser. Its powerful real-time collaboration features are helping thousands of individuals and businesses work and communicate more efficiently, both internally and with external clients. With its intuitive interface, LucidChart is also introducing diagramming and visual communication to an entirely new class of users.
