CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--()--ITA Software, Inc., a leading provider of innovative solutions for the travel industry, today announced it will sponsor the Random Hacks of Kindness (RHoK 2.0) hackathon in Boston on Sunday, December 5. This one-day volunteer event, organized locally by CrisisCamp Boston, a local branch of CrisisCommons, and Engineers Without Borders, Boston University Chapter, is taking place in conjunction with RHoK’s gathering of hackers in multiple locations around the world. The event is designed to inspire technology solutions to problems relating to natural disaster risk and response, and will bring together people to brainstorm on problem definitions for humanitarian aid. ITA Software also sponsored the previous CrisisCamp Haiti event.

RHoK Boston will bring together volunteers to collaborate on technology solutions that have the potential to address global disaster risk challenges, create new means of coordinating response and give a voice to those who are actually suffering in real time. The goal is to encourage participation from the local community including software developers, emergency managers, innovators, students, storytellers, project managers and entrepreneurs to collaborate and create. The organization welcomes volunteers devoted to making the world better with all levels of technical proficiency. | ||||
