BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich.--()--Business executive and author Harry Cendrowski is leading a $50 million capital campaign for the Madonna University Foundation. Last week the Greater Detroit Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals recognized his fundraising leadership by presenting Mr. Cendrowski with a “Committed” award for his volunteer efforts with the university.
“As Thanksgiving draws our attention to expressing gratitude, I encourage other business leaders to strengthen local communities by donating their unique leadership talents to a worthy cause”
Over 500 people attended the November 18th celebration dinner, held in conjunction with National Philanthropy Day, to recognize local leaders who make a difference in the community.
In the past 27 years, Mr. Cendrowski has built three businesses: the financial consulting and litigation support firm of Cendrowski Corporate Advisors (www.cca-advisors.com), tax and accounting firm Cendrowski Selecky PC (www.cendsel.com), and the independent multi-client family office firm of Prosperitas Group (www.prosperitasgroup.com).
As a forensic accountant with significant operational and financial expertise, Mr. Cendrowski is accustomed to leading a team of committed professionals in pursuit of lofty goals under a tight deadline. He applies many of the action-oriented principles used in his businesses to assist local charities and non-profit organizations.
“As Thanksgiving draws our attention to expressing gratitude, I encourage other business leaders to strengthen local communities by donating their unique leadership talents to a worthy cause,” said Cendrowski. “Giving back to the community by helping charitable and educational organizations meet their goals is a long term priority for me and our companies.”
In addition to his Madonna fundraising campaign, Mr. Cendrowski serves as Vice Chair of the Madonna University Board of Trustees, is a Founding Trustee of the Michigan Cancer Research Fund, and previously served on the Alma College Board of Trustees and the Board of Directors of Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit. Abused and neglected children, battered women, and those with terminal illnesses are among the beneficiaries of his volunteer efforts.
Reflecting its founder’s community commitment, Cendrowski Corporate Advisors currently supports the annual auction of the Schiller DuCanto & Fleck Family Law Center at DePaul College of Law, the Michigan Cancer Research Fund, and LaRabida Children’s Hospital in Chicago, in addition to other charitable causes.
