15th Annual MITX Awards Honors New England’s Finest Interactive Technology and Web Achievements

Olympus and Timberland among the “Best of” Award Winners

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--()--The Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange (MITX) announced the winners of its 15th annual awards competition, recognizing achievements in the development and implementation of interactive technologies in New England. The awards were presented last night at a sold-out event at the Boston Marriott Copley Place.

“The MITX Awards celebrates the blending of imagination, innovation and strong business solutions that is creating tremendous impact in every industry,” said MITX President, Debi Kleiman. “This year’s winners are testimony to the magic that happens when those factors come together to produce novel interactive applications and marketing strategies.”

The MITX Awards winners competed in 25 categories in industries ranging from biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, to eCommerce. The awards also honored interactive marketing campaigns that leverage tactics such as mobile, video and social media. In addition, MITX presented six ‘Best of’ awards, including the ‘Interactive Marketer of the Year’ and a ‘People’s Choice for Agency of the Year.’

“We are proud to serve New England’s vibrant digital community through this awards program and all of our many programs throughout the year,” said Kleiman, “The work from our amazing finalists and winners are great examples of the smarts, dedication and originality that thrives in New England and fuels our industry forward.”

The judging committee is comprised of more than 100 distinguished individuals from various disciplines including members of the media, industry analysts, academics, creative directors, chief technology officers, webmasters, developers, producers and marketing executives and strategists.
