Nexon America’s Mabinogi hosts in-game fundraiser for Starlight Children’s Foundation™

Fantasy-life online game to offer ‘Starlight Scepter’ for sale with 50 percent of the proceeds going to Starlight

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mabinogi, the multiplayer online fantasy game published by Nexon America, will be raising funds for Starlight Children’s Foundation through a year-long sale of an in-game item, the “Starlight Scepter,” starting on Nov. 17.

For more than 25 years, Starlight Children’s Foundation has been dedicated to helping seriously ill children and their families cope with their pain, fear and isolation through entertainment, education and family activities. Mabinogi, which has more than a million registered users in North America, will donate 50 percent of the proceeds from the in-game sale of the Starlight Scepter, priced at approximately four dollars, to Starlight.

The Starlight Scepter, a silver-colored, decorative wand with a rainbow glow effect, will be available in the Mabinogi item shop.

In addition to the Starlight Scepter, Nexon will also donate 100 percent of its proceeds from the sale of the Mabinogi soundtrack on iTunes to Starlight. For every $0.99 download on iTunes, Starlight will receive $0.35.
