GRAPEVINE, Texas--()--Due to the tremendous response received after several weeks of submissions and voting by the citizens of Dallas/Fort Worth, instead of a top 10, LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Dallas/Fort Worth, has named eleven winners of its MINILAND poll. The eleven iconic landmarks in the area, which are confirmed by Merlin Entertainments Group, that will be recreated in LEGO® bricks by the team of its expert LEGO model builders and placed on permanent display in MINILAND, include (listed in alphabetical order):

The final MINILAND structure with all of the landmarks selected for inclusion will be unveiled to the public when the attraction opens at Grapevine Mills in April 2011.
“Throughout this process, we learned a lot about the citizens of Dallas/Fort Worth and what they are passionate about,” said Courtney Tolbert with LEGOLAND Discovery Center. “It has been exciting to watch what different locations, buildings and landmarks were submitted for consideration and we think the results of the vote capture a lot of the history and interests within the Metroplex. We look forward to introducing the final MINILAND to D/FW and visitors from all over when the attraction opens in April.”
