The Playing for Change Foundation and VSee are excited to present PFC LIVE: Uniting Cultures Through Music & Technology, a special live web performance, workshop and cultural and musical exchange with the Playing for Change musicians performing together with children from the School of Music in Gugulethu. The goal of this event is to show how it is possible to break down barriers using video technology capable of operating in very remote settings around the globe using cellular 3G and satellite networks.

PFC LIVE: Uniting Cultures Through Music & Technology will open with Playing for Change Founder, Mark Johnson, telling the story of how the Foundation came to build a school in Gugulethu in South Africa.

PFC singer Titi Tsira, who grew up in Gugulethu and is now on a national tour with the Playing for Change Band, will talk about her journey. The event will close with the PFC students collaborating from South Africa with the Band in Boston—the first such collaboration Playing for Change has ever attempted!
