SAN FRANCISCO--()--StubHub, the world's largest ticket marketplace, announced today that the company will donate its profits from the upcoming series of Garth Brooks charitable concerts at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN to the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, the artist's intended beneficiary. StubHub will not profit from any ticket sales to the event.
“In keeping with the original intent of the concert, we want to be sure that any StubHub profits from Garth Brooks’ show go directly to Tennessee families.”
"We strive to provide a first-in-class experience for our fans and have chosen to donate our profits from Garth tickets to The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee for this event, rather than removing ticket listings and turning fans away," said Chris Tsakalakis, President of StubHub. "In keeping with the original intent of the concert, we want to be sure that any StubHub profits from Garth Brooks’ show go directly to Tennessee families."
To date, the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee has already awarded $5.43 million in flood relief grants and allocations to more than 100 organizations providing flood recovery services. StubHub’s donation will be included in grants to local nonprofit organizations that are working to rebuild Middle Tennessee after May’s floods.
Garth Brooks’ charity concerts will be held on December 16th, 17th, 19th, 20th, 21st, and 22nd at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN. To donate to the Flood Relief, please visit http://www.cfmt.org/floodrelief/
