Total Medical Solutions’ Chris Rea Earns Highest Certification in Complex Rehabilitation

Rea is One of Only 24 People in the World to Achieve RESNA’s Seating and Mobility (SMS) Certification

ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Chris Rea, CRTS, ATP/SMS, a rehabilitation specialist at Total Medical Solutions (TMS), has earned a new certification: SMS, Seating and Mobility Specialist. Available through the Rehabilitation Engineering Society of North America (RESNA), the SMS can only be earned by an Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) who specializes in the comprehensive seating, positioning and mobility needs of individuals with disabilities.

When equipment arrives, the rehabilitation specialist returns to the home to fit it to the injured employee and ensure everything works properly. “We make sure that claimants know how to use assistive technologies so they achieve the highest level of independence,” she added.
