NextGate and NextGen Healthcare Form Partnership to Deliver Health Information Exchange Solutions

Under the agreement, NextGen Healthcare will provide its clients the option to complement the master patient index capabilities in several of its products – NextGen^SM Health Information Exchange, NextGen® Ambulatory EHR, NextGen® Practice Management, and NextGen® Inpatient Clinicals and Financials – with NextGate's MatchMetrix^TM EMPI Suite. With MatchMetrix, NextGen Healthcare’s clients will gain an enhanced, single view of patient information, helping them offer a higher level of care across larger service delivery areas.

NextGen Healthcare offers a complete portfolio of ambulatory and inpatient solutions, for which having a master patient index across disparate systems and organizations is critical to meet client needs and enable health information exchange. For its larger community based projects, NextGen Healthcare identified a need to enhance its master patient index capabilities with a probabilistic matching algorithm. After careful review of several offerings, it selected NextGate’s MatchMetrix EMPI Suite as its patient matching solution.
