NEW YORK--()--EHE International, the leader in preventive healthcare since 1913, is proud to announce its support of nonprofit, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF), in its mission to provide funding toward innovative research projects worldwide to achieve prevention and cure for breast cancer in our lifetime. Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in women, after skin cancer. It is estimated that 207,090 women will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer and 39,840 women will die from the disease in 2010. To help boost breast cancer awareness, EHE International has donated its 115 square-foot window display at Rockefeller Plaza to BCRF during October, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. “We hope to educate people about cancer, and the work BCRF is doing to find a cure. We encourage everyone to recognize and act on any warning signs or symptoms they might discover,” said Deb McKeever, EHE International President.

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® was founded in 1993 by Evelyn H. Lauder as an independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to funding innovative clinical and translational research. In October 2010, BCRF will award $33 million to over 170 scientists across the United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Australia. Currently, more than 88 cents of each dollar donated to the Foundation goes directly to breast cancer research and awareness programs. And the American Institute of Philanthropy has awarded the Foundation its highest possible rating of A+. BCRF is the only breast cancer organization to receive this accolade, and is the only cancer organization to currently hold this ranking. For more information about BCRF, visit www.bcrfcure.org.
