Havertys Announces Its Commitment to American Cancer Society as National Sponsor of Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--HAVERTY FURNITURE COMPANIES, INC. (NYSE: HVT and HVT.A) today announced its national sponsorship of the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk, an annual event that takes place in cities nationwide every October during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer. Havertys associates are forming over 100 teams to participate in this year’s walks. Teams will ask for pledges for their miles walked, have in-store fundraisers and offer customers the opportunity to participate via a Pink Ribbon “Hope” tree in every showroom.
