STRATFORD, Conn.--()--The fans of songstress Arika Kane are petitioning Sirius XM due to the Director of Sirius XM’s Programming not playing the music of BSE Recordings’ artist Arika Kane. Furthermore, the fans have called on all Sirius XM stations to reconsider their position on Arika’s current single “Here With Me” per the website, www.fansforarikakane.com.
This song, "Here With Me," is currently on the Billboard’s top 100 at number 67 and on Billboard Adult R&B charts at number 15. Additionally, the single is also number 17 on Mediabase charts. Her previous single, “For The Lovers,” went to number 23 on the Mediabase charts. Imagine the hard work and dedication of an artist to achieve these achievements on the charts and being denied airplay on any station or network; this is blatant disrespect to Arika’s commitment to performing and producing quality music.
In addition to her commitment to music, Arika Kane has also been responsible for mentoring many upcoming indie artists as well as getting their music on the Billboard Charts. She does all this while continuing to promote and foster a continued interest in music.
Although all artists in the top 20 of the Urban AC charts can be heard on Sirius XM's "Heart and Soul," Arika Kane has not/is not being heard despite her holding the number 17 position on the those same charts.
Meanwhile stations under the Radio One and Clear Channel umbrellas have supported Arika for the duration of her career and for that, she and BSE Recordings are grateful.
