ALEXANDRIA, Va.--()--Women in Technology (WITSM), the premier organization contributing to the success of professional women in the Washington technology community, today announced that it will host its September WIT.Connect event, “Rebranding WIT/Rebranding YOU: New Mission, New Logo, New Look!”, on September 16, 2010 at the Ritz Carlton Tysons Corner.

As part of this event, brand strategist Marva Goldsmith will conduct an interactive session on personal branding. Personal branding is at the forefront of career and professional development. It is a strategic process for maximizing personal assets, credentials and strengths; packaging individuals in a way that aligns image with vision; and determining the best market channels and tactics to reach personal goals. Goldsmith’s session will provide concrete takeaways for enhancing personal brand.
In addition, WIT president, Nanci Schimizzi will unveil the new look and brand for the organization, which will better express the passion and commitment WIT members have for helping girls and women succeed in the technology field.
