Sypris Electronics Appoints Jim Long as Vice President of Operations

Continuing to Build Strength in Its Leadership Team

TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sypris Electronics, LLC, a subsidiary of Sypris Solutions, Inc., announced today the appointment of Jim Long to the position of Vice President of Operations with responsibility for the Company’s production, process engineering, quality, supply chain and general facility operations. Mr. Long will be located at the Sypris Electronics headquarters in Tampa, Florida and will report directly to John J. Walsh, President.

Mr. Long has a proven track record of working with contract manufacturing organizations. Prior to joining Sypris, he served as Vice President and General Manager of Sanmina-SCI Optical Technology located in Shenzhen, China. Preceding Sanmina-SCI Optical Technology, Mr. Long served as Vice President and General Manager of JDS Uniphase also based in China. Mr. Long holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Providence College and an MBA from the University of Hartford.
