HAYWARD, Calif.--()--Tiger Balm (www.mytigerbalm.com) announced today its sponsorship of the 20th annual Susan G. Komen NYC Race for the Cure, taking place Sunday, September 12, 2010 in New York’s Central Park.
“Tiger Balm stands with Susan G. Komen for the Cure in support of those who have been affected by breast cancer”
Susan G. Komen for the Cure® is the global leader of the breast cancer movement, having invested nearly $1.5 billion since inception in 1982. Events like the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure have helped make the organization the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world.
The 5K (3.1 miles) run and fitness walk is expected to draw 25,000 participants - including more than 1,600 breast cancer survivors – with the solitary mission of eradicating breast cancer once and for all. Last year’s Race raised over $5.1 million for grants to community-based organizations providing life-saving breast health, education, screening and treatment to people in New York City, Long Island, Rockland and Westchester Counties.
“Tiger Balm stands with Susan G. Komen for the Cure in support of those who have been affected by breast cancer,” said Kenneth Yeung, Founder and President of Prince of Peace Enterprises, Inc., the sole licensed United States distributor for all Tiger Balm products. “We are proud to sponsor the 20th anniversary of the New York Race and to use our involvement to help raise awareness of this important cause among fans and users of Tiger Balm products.”
