PARIS--()--Less than a year after its inception, Allmyapps, vendor of allmyapps.com, the first application store for Windows, today announces the completion of a € 1 millions Series A round of financing led by Elaia Partners.
“With Elaia Partners on our board, we're confident that we will achieve our vision of an outstanding mass market service with the best VC of the market”
In addition to the Series A funding, Allmyapps will receive support from the Microsoft IDEES program, an initiative dedicated to nurturing innovation in high-potential technology startups.
Created in June 2009 by Thibauld Favre and Arnaud Coulondre, Allmyapps offers PC users hasslefree software management solutions. Totally free, the allmyapps.com website enables end-users to discover new applications and to install and manage them in a single click. Over 30.000 registered users and more than a million applications installed via the website testify to its success and popularity.
By using this investment to accelerate the continued development of the application store and to fund its international expansion, Allmyapps will position its application store for Windows to become undisputed leader worldwide.

Allmyapps chose Elaia Partners based on their business experience and previous track record with technology startups. “With Elaia Partners on our board, we're confident that we will achieve our vision of an outstanding mass market service with the best VC of the market,” explainsThibauld Favre, co-founder and CEO of Allmyapps.
Arnaud Coulondre, co-founder of Allmyapps adds, 'This Series A round will enable us to accelerate the development of our platform into the premiere application store for Windows. With the release of truly innovative new services, the next few months promise to be exciting for Allmyapps and its users.”
Marie Ekeland, Partner at Elaia Partners comments, “Allmyapps' positioning is unique and meets a user need that has been unaddressed so far. The nineties saw fully-featured desktop applications that were disk and memory intensive and complicated to install. As time progressed, users gained access to lightweight, web-based applications. Looking to the future, we must provide both feature-rich applications and ease of installation to users. The Windows market is the world's largest, and Allmyapps will bring PC users together with two key services - the ability to discover new applications through social recommendations, and the flexibility of application configurations stored on the Allmyapps servers.” Allmyapps is Elaria Partners twenty-first investment.
Microsoft IDEES membership
Concurrent to the Series A round, Allmyapps announces its membership in the Microsoft IDEES program, confirming the mutual commitment of both companies to deploy the best application store for Windows.
Blaise Vignon, Microsoft IDEES program Manager, says, “Allmyapps entered Microsoft's innovative companies support program (IDEES) through Bizspark, a global network of investors and startups. We've working closely with Allmyapps since the very beginning of their adventure and it's a real pleasure to expand our partnership with IDEES. We look forward to announcing shared events and the forthcoming developments of the application store for Windows.”
Favre adds, “We're delighted to be able to work more closely with Microsoft. With the IDEES program we'll gain access to invaluable resources that will boost the development of our new products. On top of hosting our download platform on Azure, our upcoming versions of the application store will heavily leverage the .NET framework and more specifically WPF. We're thanking Microsoft for its support !”
The Microsoft IDEES program
The IDEES (Initiative pour le Développement Économique des Éditeurs de logiciels et des Start-up) program was launched by Microsoft France in October 2005 in order to support the development of French innovating startups on an annual basis.
The IDEES program allows Microsoft France to work closely with French VCs to provide a support framework to French software startups.
IDÉES is part of the international Microsoft Emerging Business program. France was the first European country to deploy this initiative. A dedicated team works to support this project within the Developers and Enterprise Platform activities of Microsoft France.
