Brown will join the Company as its new Chief Growth Officer. In her new role, Ms. Brown will head MedVentive's sales, marketing, and business development efforts as the Company looks to expand its industry leading solutions that help payers and provider organizations reduce healthcare costs and improve healthcare quality. Ms. Brown will report to MedVentive President and Chief Executive Officer, Nancy J. Ham, and will also serve on MedVentive’s Board of Directors. Prior to joining MedVentive, Ms. Brown served as Senior Vice President of Business Development and Government Affairs at athenahealth, Inc (Nasdaq: ATHN), a leading provider of internet-based business services to medical groups.

Prior to joining athenahealth in 2004, Ms. Brown was a Senior Vice President at McKesson Corporation. Ms. Brown joined McKesson in 1999 when it acquired a company she co-founded, Abaton.com, a provider of internet-based clinical solutions for the ambulatory market. Earlier Ms. Brown spent eight years at Harvard Community Health Plan where she held several senior management roles.
