Online Tool Provides Easy Access to Sale Information for Products at Local Stores Across the Country

A Prevention.com “Grocery Server” user has the ability to narrow their search by store, product and product category; Prevention.com visitors can also use the tool to seek out what local stores carry ingredients that have been suggested in a recipe they found through the Prevention.com’s Healthy Recipe Finder section, which includes thousands of recipes from Prevention and other Rodale publications and books. Users can search by cuisine, health concern, dietary need, along with six other categories. Each recipe includes detailed nutritional information and allows visitors to save, rate and share recipes, and make a shopping list all on Prevention.com.

“Grocery Server” also allows users to add their selected items from a variety of local stores, not just one in particular, to a shopping list and print it. The tool makes it easy for consumers to find recipes matching items that are on sale at their local stores, too. For instance, if chicken breasts are on sale at their local grocer, they can click on “See Recipes” on Prevention.com and get recipes that use this ingredient. Users can then share any great deals they find via Facebook, Twitter or Google Buzz with their friends, bringing them directly to the sale page on Prevention.com.
