DALLAS--()--The Beck Group’s leadership team is growing to better position the firm for the future.
“Revolutionize Our Industry … Create the Future!”
The Beck Group has added four names to the list of Managing Directors across the company’s national operation. Despite a tough economy, key sectors have grown and warrant the assignment of a Managing Director to oversee those areas. In addition, the company applied the title to executives currently managing key strategic initiatives including human resources, strategic long-term planning and financial management. All newly appointed Managing Directors were promoted from within, in recognition of their performance and leadership.
Fred Perpall | Managing Director Eastern Division: As the Principal in charge of the architectural and integrated work for Beck’s eastern division the past six years and during his 12 years with the company, Fred has developed an impressive portfolio of projects including the Duke University Center for Academic and Athletic Excellence, which received a 2009 National Design Build Institute of America excellence award. One of Beck’s most recognized speakers and champions of our Integrated Enterprise structure, Fred is now managing all design, construction, and development operations of the eastern division.
Matt Williamson | Managing Director Central & South Texas: With the addition of architectural services to its Austin operation, Beck felt it was necessary to assign a Managing Director the responsibility for this full service office. As an operations manager, Matt developed the firm’s presence as one of the leading construction service providers in the central Texas market. In 2009, Matt was responsible for the expansion of Beck’s local services to include architecture. Bringing more than 27 years of experience to his new role as a Managing Director, Matt will be responsible for managing the central and south Texas operations for both design and construction.
Joe Flores | Managing Director Human Resources: Joe began his career with Beck in 1995 and has worked his way through the firm from office engineer up to senior project manager to director of human resources. He has been a member of the leadership team as the head of Human Resources since 2007. With the promotion to Managing Director, the company has officially recognized Joe for his ability to maximize client relationships, promote employee interests and morale as well as create cohesive teams.
Mark Collins | Managing Director and CFO: With his background in accounting and finance, Mark has been an integral part of corporate operations since joining the firm in 1999. He was promoted to CFO in 2006 and has consistently demonstrated leadership skills that allow him to function effectively at all levels in the organization. His quick wit and collaborative approach to business make him a welcome member of the Managing Director team.
Brad Phillips | Managing Director Strategic Pursuits: Brad is changing his focus from operations to strategic initiatives. As the firm approaches its 100th anniversary, the need for a new long term strategy and options for future growth has never been more important. Over his 30 years at Beck, Brad has been a champion of change. He has played many roles including Co-Director of our first Integrated design and construction studio as well Chief Technology Officer. Brad is relentless in his pursuit of opportunities to innovate and redefine our industry.
With the addition of these key individuals to the leadership group, Beck is better able to provide our clients and our staff the support and strength needed to continue to deliver on our mission “Revolutionize Our Industry … Create the Future!”
