OAKLAND, Calif.--()--BrightSource Energy, Inc., developer of utility-scale solar thermal power plants, today announced that it has named Lynda Ward Pierce senior vice president of human resources. With 25 years of human resources experience, Pierce will oversee BrightSource’s global human resources organization as the company continues to scale its U.S. and international operations.

Most recently, Pierce served as vice president of human resources at MobiTV, where she created and managed both domestic and international programs. Prior to this role, Pierce oversaw human resources at various organizations, including as head of human resources, facilities and security at SVB Financial Group, vice president of human resources at Organic, Inc., and global director of human resources at Navigant Consulting, Inc.

Pierce holds a bachelor’s degree in Managerial Economics from the University of California at Davis, where she also attended the Graduate School of Management for a master’s in Management. She later completed the coursework for a master’s degree in Human Resources & Organizational Development from the College of Professional Studies at the University of San Francisco.
