KIRKLAND, Wash.--()--Daticon EED® [http://www.daticon-eed.com] today announced a new partnership with Clearwell Systems to provide the Clearwell E-Discovery Platform as the foundation technology for its new line of high-value early case assessment services. Through the partnership with Clearwell, Daticon EED will offer comprehensive hosted and managed services to assist clients in the development and implementation of effective strategies for analyzing and reducing the volume of case data prior to review and production.
“We are excited to have such a strong, well-known, and well-respected partner working with us to support our clients.”
Clearwell is consistently recognized as a top provider of early case assessment capabilities. Using the Clearwell E-Discovery Platform hosted by Daticon EED, clients can rapidly search through and reduce data to determine case facts and benefit from savings in overall case costs. The Clearwell Pre-Processing Module lets clients remove system files and select the file types, custodians and date ranges to be processed for further analysis. Once data is processed, clients have complete, hosted access to Clearwell’s market-leading early case assessment capabilities, with features such as discussion threads, auto filters and search preview enabling the development of a well-documented and defensible early case assessment process.
“Daticon EED has always provided extensive support for client search and data reduction strategies, but those services have usually involved offline data analysis that sometimes takes longer than matter timelines permit. With Clearwell, the process of developing effective search term and data reduction strategies is completely client-controlled, and the level of collaboration with our project managers, data analysts and consultants is that desired by the client, rather than required by the process,” according to Ken Sokol, Director of Marketing for Daticon EED. “A case attorney, with no previous experience using Clearwell, working over a web collaboration session with one of our consultants, can make amazing progress on search term development and data reduction in an hour’s time.”
Although clients can choose to structure services and support as needed, Daticon EED offers consulting packages that efficiently guide discovery projects from the early case assessment phase, prior to the FRCP 26(f) meeting, through data culling, review optimization, review management and post-production evidence analysis. Services built around the Clearwell E-Discovery Platform focus on the large number of corporations and law firms without the necessary internal resources or expertise to deploy new software in-house and develop related practices. “Clearwell is very easy to use,” says Sokol. “Still, corporations and law firms with limited internal resources may struggle to quickly implement new software platforms and the methods for using them effectively. The intent of our service is to provide those organizations with the software and discovery methodology expertise needed to enable use of the best tools immediately.”
Since the inception of the partnership in late Q2, Daticon EED has accepted more than three terabytes (TB) of data for processing through its early case assessment services platform.
“The relationship with Clearwell is directly in line with our strategy to use best-of-breed, commercial-off-the-shelf software to create offerings that emphasize predictability and expertise – our heritage of delivering top-tier, technology-enabled services informed by our unrivaled experience with ESI over more than 20 years and thousands of matters,” said Tom Haug, President of Daticon EED. “We are excited to have such a strong, well-known, and well-respected partner working with us to support our clients.”
The Daticon EED early case assessment offering is available now as a precursor to evidence review and production supported by our Discovery Express™ and Discovery Partner® platforms.
