Sandeep Gupta to Join Next Jump, Inc as Vice President of Mobile Engineering

NEW YORK--()--Next Jump, Inc, a leader in next generation ecommerce and advertising technology, today announced the appointment of Sandeep Gupta as Vice President of Mobile Engineering, effective September 7. Mr. Gupta, 41, will be responsible for overseeing all of Next Jump's mobile engineering efforts, including iPhone, iPad and Android applications. He will become a member of Next Jump’s Senior Engineering Leadership Team and report to Next Jump Chief of Engineering Tom Fuller. As part of the appointment, Mr. Gupta will be relocating from Silicon Valley to Next Jump’s New York City headquarters.

Mr. Gupta brings over 18 years of application software engineering and technical leadership experience to Next Jump. Most recently, Mr. Gupta served as Senior Director of Application Development at Yahoo!, and was responsible for overseeing every aspect from conception to delivery of mobile and tablet applications. He and his teams launched Yahoo!'s iPhone apps for Flickr, Fantasy Sports, Yahoo! Finance, and Yahoo! Messenger, as well as Yahoo! Entertainment for the iPad. He also released Fantasy Football and Yahoo! Finance applications for Blackberry devices. Most recently Mr. Gupta was responsible for launching an Android application suite for Yahoo!’s market leading Mail and Messenger services.

Sandeep will have the benefit of building on top of our existing database of 30,000 merchants relationships and over 100-million consumer database to rapidly deploy apps – creating highly consumer relevant experiences, all powered by our unique data assets.”

Prior to Yahoo!, Mr. Gupta began his career in 1992 as a software engineer at Apple. During his tenure at Apple, Mr. Gupta managed the iPod Application Engineering Group. His software and user interface team defined the user experience for multiple generations of the iconic iPod Video and iPod Nano devices including all iPod accessory experiences such as the Radio, Voice Recorder and Nike + iPod products. Previously he was the Director of Software Application Development at Digidesign, a division of Avid Technologies. There, his team was responsible for the Academy Award®-winning Pro Tools software, which has been used to create more hit records, feature films, television productions, and video games than any other music and sound production technology.

He received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
