Amy Avitable Joins SCS as Director of Compliance Services

Ms. Avitable is a nationally known compliance expert through her frequent speaking engagements and articles, and most recently was the Director of FIS Regulatory Advisory Services (formerly Kirchman/Metavante Regulatory Service), where she served financial institutions of all sizes as well as the FDIC, Federal Reserve, and the OCC. She managed FIS’ banking compliance advisory services and was responsible for monitoring changes in banking compliance, advising and training internal compliance professionals and clients, and managing a team of compliance professionals.

Recently, she presented at the 2010 American Bankers Association Real Estate Lending Conference, the American Bankers Association Regulatory Compliance Conference in 2009, and for various state bankers associations, mortgage bankers associations, compliance organizations, and financial institutions. She was the Editor-in-Chief and a contributing author for the FIS Regulatory Advisory Services Big Orange Book Compliance Manual, and authored numerous articles for such publications as Scotsman Guide for Mortgage Originators, The Palmetto Banker Magazine, Western Independent Bankers, Community Banker Magazine, and American Banker Magazine.

Ms. Avitable has her Juris Doctorate and holds Master’s and Bachelor’s Degrees in Accounting.
