SALT LAKE CITY--()--Hairstylists stand aside. There’s a new game in town, at least on the iPhone.
“I’m ecstatic that iPhone users love it too!”
Anyone with an iPhone and inkling to see what they, or their friends, look like with purple hair, a 70s Afro or punk rock spikes, for 99 cents can download the “Wig It” app from the iPhone App Store (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/wig-it/id379967220) and set their inner stylist free.
Any picture of a person’s face can be used to apply more than 100 different fun, outrageous wig styles. You can adjust the size and rotation of the wigs so they match the person’s face perfectly. It’s like Photoshop for hair on the iPhone.
Released by Appdicted, LLC (www.appdicted.com) on July 30, the Wig It iPhone app (www.wigitapp.com) is the first iPhone app to allow users to virtually add more than 100 different wigs to their photos. And it’s a lot of fun!
Apple (AAPL) now features the Wig It iPhone app in the iTunes App Store’s “New and Noteworthy” section located on the home page of the iTunes App Store.
Sporting a strong, even mischievous fun factor, the Wig It iPhone app has experienced fast-paced growth in its first 11 days, currently sitting at number 115 in iPhone’s Top Paid Apps list.
“I loved making the Wig It iPhone app as much as I love using it,” said Rory Boyer, the Wig It app creator and owner of Appdicted, LLC. “I’m ecstatic that iPhone users love it too!”
