TAMPA, Fla.--()--Falcon Electric, Inc., (www.FalconUPS.com) an award-winning manufacturer of Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) and exhibitor at this week’s LandWarNet expo (booth #648), today announced that their high-temperature rated SSG Series UPS products are now available on the NASA SEWP (Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement) contract through primary contract holder Red River.
“Red River and Falcon Electric share common values, such as integrity and a sense of mission when serving the federal government, and it shows. We have won many awards for on-time delivery, technical support and other categories from top IT publications, such as Computer Reseller News (CRN)”
Red River is a leading provider of information technology solutions to the federal government, federal integrators and the commercial marketplace. The NASA SEWP provides the latest in Information Technology (IT) products for all federal agencies.
“Red River and Falcon Electric share common values, such as integrity and a sense of mission when serving the federal government, and it shows. We have won many awards for on-time delivery, technical support and other categories from top IT publications, such as Computer Reseller News (CRN),” said Jo Purdy, Program Manager at Red River. “Like Red River, Falcon’s UPS products have garnered many awards from IT publications, such as CRN, Government Computer News and PC Magazine. Both Red River and Falcon Electric are nimble and responsive to the needs of our customers. When it comes to post-sales support, this is a huge benefit for federal customers.”
Falcon’s SSG Series UPS is the only COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) product that is rated to 55° C. This industrial-grade UPS is designed to shield internal components from extreme temperatures and includes batteries that are rated for high temperatures. These new batteries have a much higher heat tolerance. For example, at 50° C, these batteries will last four years, compared to eight months for standard 5 year-rated batteries.
In fact, these new batteries are rated to last up to 12 years at room temperature. Standard batteries operating in popular “line-interactive” UPS last about two to three years. A federal IT user upgrading to a Falcon SSG Series UPS can expect to significantly reduce the cost of owning and maintaining the UPS over a 10 year period.
