ELMSFORD, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Brookfield Resource Management, a leading recycling company serving the New York and Chicago metropolitan markets, today announced the acquisition of Salient Auto Salvage, a Bronx N.Y. auto wrecker and used auto parts company.

This acquisition is part of Brookfield’s overall expansion strategy to take advantage of emerging industry trends. Brookfield added a new operation in the Chicago market in May and purchased a facility in Montrose, N.Y., last year.
