Zoran Selects Kilopass’ XPM™ Non-Volatile Memory for Products Manufactured Using Advanced Low-Power Process

Kilopass’ IP Is Proven in High-Volume Production in Two Process Generations with Third in Preparation for Volume Production for Zoran’s Home Entertainment IC Products

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kilopass Technology, Inc., a leading provider of semiconductor logic non-volatile memory (NVM) intellectual property (IP), today announced that Zoran Corporation, a leading provider of digital solutions in digital entertainment and digital imaging markets, has licensed the company’s XPM™ non-volatile memory (NVM) IP solution for use in its latest advanced low-power fabrication process generation. A repeat Kilopass customer for three successive process generations, Zoran integrates Kilopass’ NVM IP in its home entertainment IC products.

Kilopass embedded NVM is implemented in standard CMOS so it can follow the advanced process roadmap very closely. Kilopass is able to leverage the foundry reliability data including time-dependent dielectric breakdown (TDDB), electro migration, and high-temperature storage data to bring IP to market faster. It does not need to reinvent the basic devices in each process generation. Yield matches the foundry process, and quality and reliability are guaranteed through the rigorous characterization and qualification of XPM™.
