FAIRFIELD, Calif.--()--TLW Public Relations announced today that it has signed an agreement with the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) to perform as-needed writing and editorial services for CalPERS’ Public Affairs and Communications Support Services Spring-Fed Pool (a pool of PR firms). CalPERS is the largest public employees' retirement agency in the United States.
“We look forward to doing whatever work we’re fortunate enough to have assigned to us”
“I’m very excited; I’ve worked for several California cities and counties, so I know firsthand the scope, and the importance of the work done by CalPERS,” says TLW Public Relations’ Owner Deloris Roach. “This is a great opportunity for us,” she adds.
The one-year agreement with TLW Public Relations calls for the firm to work as part of a pool of contractors who will bid on individual projects as the need arises. The contract was awarded to the company after a competitive RFP (Request for Proposals) process.
“We look forward to doing whatever work we’re fortunate enough to have assigned to us,” says Roach who will serve as the principal consultant under the agreement.
Roach is an award-winning publication writer who spent several years in public information management for city and county government agencies, before starting her own business. The agreement with CalPERS is the company’s first contract with a state agency.
