BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Goby.com (pronounced GO-be), the activity search engine that helps people find things to do with their free time, is expanding its portfolio of mobile offerings with the launch of its free Android app. Available for download in the Android Marketplace, goby’s Android app follows the recent successful launches of similar versions for the iPhone, iPad and iTouch.

The goby Android App includes:

Coverage of 350 categories of things to do, from hiking and caving to restaurants and galleries
Coverage of every city, town and region in the United States
User geo-location at start
Result lists complete with photos
Maps and phone numbers to connect users to activities and places
Ability to share things to do through Twitter, Facebook and email

The Android app allows users to quickly find nearby activities and events, make weekend plans or explore a new location in just three taps. Once users select the desired activity from goby’s search results, a single tap will highlight specific details about that activity such as complete descriptions, reviews and photos. One more tap lets users share activities via social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter, creating an easy way to share plans and recommendations with family and friends.
