SEATTLE--()--The Seattle Chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) enjoyed an entertaining and informative discussion of the importance of investor relations by keynote speaker, J. Scott Di Valerio, Chief Financial Officer of Coinstar, at their annual Investor Communications Awards Gala held June 24, 2010.
Companies from throughout the Northwest submitted annual reports, quarterly communications, branding material and IR team members for award consideration. Starbucks won for Best Branded/Marketing Piece. Weyerhaeuser won for Best Quarterly Communications. The Best Annual Report award was given to Avista for the Micro/Small Cap category and to Plum Creek for the Mid/Large Cap category. The Best IR Effort by an Individual or Group was awarded to John B. Hobbs, Vice President, Investor Relations at Plum Creek Timber Company, Inc.
