Isocore Completes Successful Interoperability Testing of Key Network Features

Isocore tests the resilient Point-To-Multipoint MPLS services, multi-segment pseudowires (PWs), multicast VPNs, and MPLS Transport Profile (MPLS-TP)

RESTON, Va.--()--Isocore announced the completion of its spring Leading Edge Code (LEC) testing that involved key features. Participating vendors supported the multicast service delivery across MPLS VPNs for IPv4 and IPv6 subscribers. During the testing, the interoperability of multi-segment operation and maintenance was also examined. In addition, the testing focused on the MPLS Transport Profile (MPLS-TP), and the industry’s first interoperability of bi-directional forwarding detection (BFD) protocol across MPLS-TP Label Switched Paths (LSP). Basic MPLS-TP data-plane verification tool, LSP ping, was used to test the data connectivity. Point-to-multipoint LSP interoperability using complex topologies with fast reroute recovery was also tested successfully.

The test setup for the event consisted of network elements from Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU), Brocade Communication Systems (NASDAQ GS:BRCD), Cisco Systems (NASDAQ: CSCO), Hitachi, Ltd. (NYSE: HIT) IP Infusion (independently operated subsidiary of ACCESS Co., Ltd.), Ixia (NASDAQ: XXIA), Juniper Networks (NASDAQ: JNPR), and NEC Corporation (NEC; TSE: 6701).
