FRISCO, Texas--()--Market Street is extending its popular cooking program to children and teens interested in exploring their culinary skills over the summer with a variety of new classes and summer camps at its Colleyville and McKinney stores.
“At Market Street we love to celebrate the summer months, and expanding our youth culinary program is the perfect outlet for us to share what we enjoy most with our youngest guests – food”
Beginning in June, young chefs can learn about the art of breakfast, international cuisines, how spices alter the flavor of a dish, cake decorating, food science and many other culinary techniques sure to satisfy those with unique taste buds. Parents can sign their children up for classes according to three different age groups: 4 to 6, 7 to 11 and 12 to 17.
“At Market Street we love to celebrate the summer months, and expanding our youth culinary program is the perfect outlet for us to share what we enjoy most with our youngest guests – food,” said Market Street Executive Chef Chris Wilson. “We offer culinary classes for kids and teens throughout the entire year, but school schedules, studies and extracurricular activities limit the amount of lessons we can hold.
“Now that there are several months of free time, our culinary staff is more than thrilled to serve as part of an alternative outlet for summer activities that are both fun and educational,” Wilson added.
Market Street culinary schools are located inside Market Street stores in Colleyville at 5605 Colleyville Blvd. and in McKinney at 6100 W. Eldorado Pkwy. Interested guests can view a complete list of summer culinary classes for children and teens as well as find registration information at www.marketstreetunited.com/culinaryschedule.asp.
