TORONTO--()--Darlene Webb, a corporate communications executive with previous experience in the commercial news wire industry, has been named Business Wire's Canada country manager, Gregg Castano, company president, announced today.

In her new role, Webb will direct the company's nationwide sales, editorial and media relations activities. Webb will be based in Toronto, where the company maintains a full-service office. Additionally, Business Wire has a sales office in Calgary.
A native of Ontario, Webb has worked with both small and large-cap public companies in a cross-section of industries, including RBC and Laidlaw. Her industry experience includes selling PR/IR communication services to companies and agencies.
