BEIJING--()--The organizing committee of ChinaJoy recently announced its exhibition period for the public: from July 29 to August 1, at Shanghai New International Expo Center. Capitalizing on the opportunities created by the Shanghai Expo 2010, ChinaJoy will hit a record size this year. By the time of this release, the organizing committee has decided to start offering access to stands selling in Hall W4.
In recent years, ChinaJoy has maintained a total exhibition area of 35,000 square meters (calculated from the sizes of Halls W1-W3 of Shanghai New International Expo Center). In 2010, thanks to the forthcoming Shanghai Expo 2010, the rapid development in China’s game industry, as well as the accelerated progress in the industry’s internationalization, nearly all of the raw space offers for special-design booths have been taken. As the exhibiting companies have endeavored to present more new products and new versions this year, and as the game companies wish to enhance their marketing efforts, the organizing committee recently hired an additional exhibition hall, Hall W4, at Shanghai New International Expo Center and started offering access to stands in Hall W4.
It is reported that ChinaJoy 2010 will see a number of emerging companies using large booth areas. Meanwhile, VC from both home and abroad will appear as expected. Both domestic and international hot money, along with idle funds in traditional industries, are expected to rush into China’s game industry. It has become a common practice that the VC spot products and companies with great potential through the platform of ChinaJoy.
